Photo Diary: It's a Celebration!
Every Thursday night, a group of my friends get together for "family dinners."  We rotate houses, and each bring an item of food, based on what theme the host chooses.  This past week, the theme was "baked," so we had baked chicken, baked mac & cheese, baked tilapia, etc... The food is always delicious, and we all have a great evening, which usually ends in drinks and games!

Yesterday afternoon I went to brunch with the boo, and ordered eggs benedict.  Doesn't my food look like Oscar from Sesame Street? lol

Later that evening, I went out to celebrate my best friend Leilani's birthday.  We went to dinner at an Italian spot called Mama Nina.  I've blogged about this restaurant once before HERE.  Their food is definitely delicious, but not so much nutritious!
I spotted this beautiful dress in the window of a boutique on my short walk from my car to the restaurant.  I may have to go back and try it on!

The beautiful birthday girl!  Happy birthday Lei!

Say it with me: Yuuuuuummm!
After dinner, Lei and I went to meet up with some of our friends for her birthday party at a karaoke bar!

We had such a blast!  We sang everything from En Vogue to Britney Spears!  We jammed to Boyz II Men, Alanis Morissette, sang some MJ, grooved to Stevie Wonder, and more!  We did it all!  And of course we were dancing our behinds off too!

It was honestly the most fun I've had in a good while!

Happy Monday!

Photo Diary: 9/26/11
The trio, consisted of Sasha, Leilani, and myself always make Monday nights our night.  "Monday is the new Friday" Sasha always says, so we always plan to go out Monday nights to catch up from the weekend, the latest gossip, and ultimately to spend some time together in the midst of our busy schedules!

Sasha had an extra disposable camera, so we took it out and took some pics with it.  A handful didn't come out, but the ones that did you will be seeing shortly lol...

This is NOT an outfit post, just some fun pics I wanted to share... Enjoy!

Random picture of my kitty Akbar...
And the faces begin...
Girl talk!!!
Me looking like a ghost.  #overexposure
We're really great dancers... No, but we actually are lol.
Let me introduce you to this man.  We don't know his name, but we always run into him!  The first time we met him was at the very same bar we were at on this night by bumping into him on the dance floor gettin' it in his hospital scrubs.   Like he literally must've come straight from the hospital to the bar haha!
The next time we ran into him on the street, we said hello, and he had no idea who we were.  We then went on to explain the whole "scrubs in the club" scenario, and he was so embarrassed!  But on this night he was really going HAM on us for no reason!  He called Leilani Whitney Houston and started singing, "I Will Always Love You," and kept insulting me/telling me how beautiful I was.  It was all so strange!  He also was plotting to turn the bar we were at into a whore house, and wanted Sasha to be his business partner... *side eye*

I had convinced him and two inocent bystanders named "Chico" and "Carlito" that my name was Kristin Waka Flockawitz and told him I was half Jewish (of course they believed me).  But I eventually told them my alias was all a lie lol...  In situations like those, you gotta keep yourself laughing!
This is the only up to date picture of all of us smiling like normal people... I'm pretty sure...
Semi outfit pic!
What my nights out usually consist of... I'm not much of a drinker!  But I'm always tweeting about my adventures!

Hope you enjoyed the pics!

Late to everything, everywhere, everything!
The title of this post is the direct reference to how my friends and I are ALWAYS LATE when we plan to go somewhere together.  We're not late to everything individually, but when we all plan an outing, and plan to leave/arrive at a certain time, we always miss the mark.  We're. Always. Late.  And I'm not talking about 10, maybe even 15 minutes late.  I mean HOURS late haha!  It's so ridiculous!

So last week, Tuesday to be exact, I headed into the city with my friend Leilani to see some of my college guy friends (who play for Jordan Knight)'s album release party at the Canal Room in Tribeca (If you're unsure of who Jordan Knight is, google New Kids on the Block) lol.  Lei and I, along with some of our other girlfriends were all going to meet up at this album release that evening (mind you the album release starts at 8:30p.m.).

Wearing a Patrick Robinson for Target dress, Enigma Wedges, and vintage jewelry
Lei and I get into the city around 6ish, but had to hit up a Chipotle (food > everything) lol.  We get to our friend Shawna's apartment to change and then plan to head to the party to see the show/meet up with our friend Therlande (4 of us ladies total).

Everyone's taking their sweet ole time getting ready, and I notice that it's already 8:00.  We're not even close to being out the door, so I mention that we should really finish getting dressed because we're going to be late.  I mention this a good 3 more times before we actually head out the door, AT 9:30p.m. SMH!

Long story short, we get there and... THE SHOW IS OVER.  Therlande shows up even later than us!  All we could do is laugh!

These are probably my favorite pair of shoes.  I bought them last year, days before graduation to wear with my grad dress.  So glad I purchased them!  And they're extremely comfortable!

Jordan Knight ended up walking past us so we did see him for all of two seconds haha, and we chatted with our guy friends for a bit after the show as well (sidenote: groupies are real... Smh).  Us girls decided to head to Cafeteria to meet up with some ppl for drinks and conversation.  We had a great time, I even ran into a friend from high school!  The night was really random, but it was a night filled with laughter, fun, and memories to last a lifetime!

Concrete Jungle Here I Come!
I feel like there is so much to discuss!  First things first.  The past 6 months have been a grueling, strenuous search for a job.  Not just for any job, but a job in my desired career field.  I was so close to an opportunity that I would have dreamed to receive, but it didn't work out.  I've learned that if an opportunity doesn't work out, it's only because there is another opportunity that eventually will.  I've also been contemplating over whether to make the move to NYC or LA by the end of the summer, and I've decided... New York it is!

NYC will be the most sensible and less expensive move.  I won't have to pay to ship my furniture (I live close to the city), and I won't have to buy a car to get around (plus car expenses, such as gas, car note, insurance, etc).  I love LA, and I feel that it is in my future, but for now, NYC will be my present.  I love the city, and am excited to start my career there.  Now all I have to do is land a job as quickly as possible!

My life this past week:

The besties and I went bar hopping then ended at a friend's apt to chill :)

With our friend Rachel

Sorry Lei for putting you on blast, but your facial expressions are beating mine by far this time!

(To compensate for the crazy-faced photos :p)  Isn't she gorg?
We discovered that the bff's were wearing the same exact outfit, only in opposite ways.  How weird haha?!

I also made dinner for the rents this week... Pizza!

I tried making guacamole, but realized (in process) that I didn't have the ingredients necessary, so I freestyled, but it was a #FAIL

At least the pizzas turned out to be delicious!!

New jewelry pieces + Akbar + New hair style I tried out

It looks stuffy and old, but I forgot to pick it out with my fingers before I took the pic... It looks more 70's glam when I do... I'm kind of feeling it...

I need your opinion on two things:

1.  Should I change my banner?  I've been thinking about it for a little while, have consulted with a few blog buddies, and want to know your opinion.  Is it too busy?  Should I simplify it, or do you like it the way it is?  I would appreciate the feedback!

2.  Facebook "Like" Page?  I think I'm ready to make one.  I'm finding that it is a little much posting all of my blog biz (blogger + tumblr + twitter) on my Facebook wall, and I'm tired of posting my statuses "check out my new post."  I've recently connected with bloggers through their Facebook fan pages, and I think it would be an easier way to consolidate and interact with fellow bloggers/blog readers.  It's easier to keep up with everyone's posts that way as well.  What do you guys think?  Yay or nay?  Do you have a Facebook page for your blog (if so PLEASE leave me the link so I can be apart of it)?
